Praised by musicians and critics for his precise touch and virtuosity, Chulhee Yoon is one of the most prominent pianists in South Korea. He has extensive experience as a solo pianist as he performed in the regular concert series of Korea’s major orchestras such as Korean Symphony, Kangnam Symphony, Ulsan, Busan, Pohang, Wonjoo, Changwon, KNUA among others. Furthermore, he was also invited to perform as a distinguished guest artist with various international orchestras such as Belgrade, Monterey, etc. He also played as an invited guest artist in several international music festivals, most notably Beethoven and Cesky Krumlov collaborating with Mischa Maisky among other renowned artists. In addition, Mr. Yoon arranged many thematic concerts with composer’s solo works as well as their magnificent chamber works for many numbers of years sponsored by Seoul Cultural Foundation and medias like Magazine Nobless. In 2018, he performed Mozart Piano Concertos with Traum Chamber Orchestra as both a pianist and a conductor. During his studies in Germany, Mr. Yoon won many world renowned international competitions such as Le Muse, Rachmaninoff, and Senegalia. In his national country, he was a top prizewinner at Joong-Ang Newspaper Competiton, Busan MBC Competition before going abroad. As of his achievements, he was invited to be part of a jury member of the international competitions such as Bosendorfer (USA) and CAMPUS (France). Chulhee Yoon received his Diploma and Konzertexamen in Freiburg and Trossingen, Germany where he studied with Edith Picht Axenfeld, Vitaly Margulis, and Boris Lvov. Between 1998 and 2001, he was a professor at Ulsan University. Currently, he is a professor at Kookmin University.
